Amazing Parkour Obstacle Course Styled In The Manner Of An An 8-bit Video Game Level
Freerunner Jason Paul likes to practice his parkour skills in a world that's a little bit blockier than our own. On an obstacle course that's designed to look just like a level from an 8-bit video game. It even comes complete with blip blop sounds, bad guy ninjas and an end of level boss to defeat.
The video, called Jason Paul Arcade Run - Freerunning in 8bit, sees Paul negotiate a Mayan temple as he runs along through various video game scenery. The sets were built on a moving train journeying through a rural landscape, which provided a scenic backdrop to the pixelated props.
The set was built in collaboration with Red Bull and Team Farang. Here's what they say:
The Set-Up in which Jason Paul and Team Farang are performing their run is simply awesome. The scenery is built in the look and feel of a 2D video game and reminds of legendary arcade games. Jason Paul needs to find the way out of a Maya temple, has to fight Ninjas before he finds his way over sketchy roof tops to the spot of the big show down: The fight against the final opponent, the end boss. Game over! Winner: Jason Paul.
