#AppleEvent Revealed Lots Of Expensive New Products Which The Internet Mercilessly Ridiculed
It was the #AppleEvent yesterday, where the company dangled the carrots of new products at the world and then practically laughed in our faces as they revealed the, as always, ridiculous prices. For instance there was the new giant iPad, the iPad Pro, coming in at $799 at its lowest.
But if you wanted their new Smart Keyboard, which comes integrated into a special cover, you'd need to fork out an extra $169. Oh yeah and perhaps most galling of all, they unveiled the Apple Pencil—a stylus basically, something Steve Jobs mocked years ago—which can be yours for an additional $99. What. The. Actual. F*ck.
They also unveiled the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus (see video above) and updates for Apple TV. If you want to read about the products, the entire internet was reporting on them yesterday, so you probably know all about them already.
But as always when a new, somewhat ludicrous Apple product comes to market, it's the memes and jokes that are the most fun part. And social media was in full force with its ridicule, especially when Tim Cook revealed the Apple Pencil which, as many people pointed out, felt like a product from one of those Apple-mocking yet very on-point College Humor videos.
Anyway, here's some of the fun people had at the Apple Pencil and iPad Pro's expense.
