Artist Julio Cesar Turns People's Portraits Into Cute Cartoonish Illustrations
If you ever fancied yourself as character in a Pixar movie, then you might want to get your portrait drawn by Brazilian artist Julio Cesar.
Cesar uses photos of random people and turns them into cute and cartoonish illustrations. Cesar says he's influenced by fellow artists like Jamie Hewlett, Anna Cattish, and Greg Capullo along with popular culture and 80s and 90s cartoons.
"My inspirations came from movies, music and other illustrators,” Cesar has said. “I take a lot of inspiration from Rayner Alencar, who is another illustrator and also a friend of mine, who always helps me with tips and new techniques on Photoshop.”
Cesar started adapting magazine covers, stock photos, and portraits but after posting his digital illustrations to Instagram he gets inundated with requests from people wanting him to turn his talents on them.
And you can see why. Cesar has ambitions to create his own comic, animations, and turn his hand at painting. But for now, these portraits show off his talents well. You may have a bit of a wait on your hands if you want your own one though.
