Artist Is Sharing 'The Good News' By Putting Up Posters With Positive Punny Headlines
The world isn't often full of good news, particularly at the moment. But one artist is doing their best to spread some positivity. South African Jaco Haasbroek has taken to posting street posters up with positive headlines for a project he calls The Good News.
Often featuring a pun as well (because who isn't cheered by a good pun?) Haasbroek says the project started after he noticed a poster for a dog with the words "STOLEN."
"It's quite sad when someone loses a pet," the artist told Mashable. "The idea popped into my head that by simply adding 'Our Hearts' at the bottom of the poster, it would completely change its meaning and turn into something positive."
And lo, the project was born. With headlines like "Explorer finds himself" and "Limbo Dancer Reaches New Low" the posters are playfully whimsical.
And no doubt if you saw them around your city you'd be cheered by them.
