Insanely Realistic 3D Drawings That Jump Off The Page From Mind The Artist Of Stefan Pabst
Germany-based artist Stefan Pabst has mastered the art of creating the illusion of 3D images using just pencils or a paintbrush. So good are they at deluding you, it takes a while for your brain to adjust and see them as what they truly are: 2D drawings. They have to be seen to be believed.
Pabst has been painting since 2007 and got tired of painting portraits, so moved on to creating 3D illusions. To not only show people that there's no computer trickery involved but also for tutoring purposes, Pabst uploads time-lapse videos of him creating the images, which can take him several hours to do, to YouTube.
"For great art, you have to perceive the object, the situation, and watch the everyday lighting." Pabst tells website Booooooom. "You have to see something like you did the very first time you saw it, with a complete open mind, like a child. That’s what I try to do with my 3D Drawings. The technique is complicated; you have to have a lot of imagination. But it is well received by the viewers, and sometimes I’m even surprised at the result!"
