Cute Baby Sloth Getting Rescued After It Got Stuck Crossing Busy Highway Is Most Adorable Thing Ever

Sometimes when you find something you care about it's hard to let go--Prepare to be overcome with a sense of "awwwww" at this adorable baby sloth who was found by transport officials in Los Rios, Ecuador.

They discovered the sloth stuck in the middle of a busy road, clinging to a metal crash barrier like his life depended on it. Chances are that when he started his road crossing there was very little traffic about.

The poor little guy had somehow gotten confused trying to get from one part of the jungle to the next, and so did what we all do when we're frightened and confused. Grabbed hold of the nearest solid object.

Sloths typically only move around when they absolutely need to, and rarely leave the branches of their favorite trees, usually to go to a familiar spot of ground to poop. Just like us humans.

So the question is what was he doing trying to cross a busy road?

The answer could lie in the fact that the road in question had just recently opened and that this area was part of his 'poop path', i guess when you've gotta go, you've gotta go.

The Comisión de Tránsito del Ecuador took the visibly shaken sloth to a veterinarian who checked him over before he was released back into the wild.

So long baby sloth. Be careful out there.
