#BadStarWars8Names: Twitter Comes Up With Inspired And Hilarious Names For Episode VIII

While at the moment we can only speculate as to what the next episode in the Star Wars saga will contain, people on Twitter have already been having some fun with what it most definitely won't be called.

Using hashtag #BadStarWars8Names people have been doing just that, coming up with some hilarious titles for the film.

Episode VII was a nostalgia fest, knowingly running over similar ground to the original movie while introducing some great new characters. But Episode VIII will tread its own path, moving into potentially unknown territory for the Star Wars world.

Lawrence Kasdan, who helped write Force Awakens and also co-wrote Empire and Jedi, told the LA Times in a Q&A last month that "["Episode VIII" director] Rian Johnson is a friend of mine — he's going to make some weird thing. If you've seen Rian's work, you know it's not going be like anything that's ever been in Star Wars."

So, with that in mind, let's take a look at what Twitter thought Episode VIII might be called. Naturally there was a lot of puns.

In other Star Wars newS, or at least in other Star Wars internet humor, Twitter parody accounts Emo Kylo Ren and Very Lonely Luke had a face-off. The result was some hilarious and knowing swipes at each other.
