Star Wars Album Covers - Iconic Music LPs Get Reimagined With Luke, Darth, Han, And More
Classic LP artworks get some added sci-fi cred by becoming Star Wars album covers. Which means well known LPs get reimagined with characters from a galaxy far, far away.
Photoshopper Steven Lear is behind these reimaginings which take iconic albums, already great pieces of art in themselves, and then add in elements from the Star Wars universe. The results are impressive and if you're a fan of either the galaxy far, far away or pop music, you'll going to love them.
Lear's care isn't just in his photoshop skills either, but the characters he chooses for the Star Wars album covers fit both the reimagined titles and the graphics.
You can tell a lot of love and care has gone into it, and they've been put together with a fan's eye for detail.
"Up until recently, I managed a record store in the U.K. and had lots of inspiration to work from," Lear told Fast Company. "Now I spend too much time looking through Instagram feeds of people's vinyl record uploads to get inspired. There are loads I have started and not finished—my hard drive is an elephant's graveyard of abandoned album covers. Joy Division's Unknown Pleasures and Green Day's American Idiot are ones I've attempted, but have yet to come up with something I'm completely satisfied with."
