Ridiculous Celebrity Instagram Poses Get Hilariously Recreated By Comedian Celeste Barber
Celebrities seemingly exist on a different plane to the rest of us, in a world full of perfection and enlightenment that us mortals can only dream of. For instance, although many people pose for the pics they upload to social media to create the illusion of their own version of a perfect life, celebs go next level when it comes to posing.
If you wanted some perspective on just how silly and unrealistic their posturing is, then Australian comedian Celeste Barber is here to give you it. Because on her Instagram page Barber doesn't use her own poses, she copies celebrities instead to show you how ridiculous it is when someone normal tries it out.
Whether that be sitting naked on a basketball or licking a man's face, Barber copies the image and shows how abundantly absurd celebrity culture is.
And, sure, she also elaborates the pose but that just injects some—much-needed—humor into them. Turning what are often try-hard and staid pics of heavily stylised celebs into much more entertaining fare.
“People take it all too seriously,” Barber told the Daily Mail. “They have such an obsession with celebrities, the rich, the privileged and all these life-style blogger but yet the celebrities think they are doing normal things. Kim Kardashian posing in a pile of dirt; who does that in real life?”
