'Dogs of the Marvel Universe' Reimagines Comic Book Heroes As Super-Powered Pooches
There aren't too many superhero dogs in the world of popular culture. There's Superman's mutt Krypto, Hong Kong Phooey of course, and Rex the Wonder Dog to name just three.
But don't panic, Minnesota artist Josh Lynch has come to the rescue and remedied that situation with his series of brilliant illustrations DOTMU: Dogs of the Marvel Universe.
It features popular superheroes and villains reimagined in canine form, taking recognisable characters from the Marvel comics universe but putting their outfits and weapons onto various pooches. A pug, chihuahua, dachshund, and bulldog are turned into Captain America, Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic, and the Hulk.
Each dog is imbued with the characteristics of the superhero, and the various dogs seem to fit their personalities perfectly. And it leaves you wondering....
Surely this is worth a one-off comic all it's own? Right, Marvel? Or, at least, an FX-laden YouTube upload.
