"Prisons Make People Gay" - Dr. Ben Carson Makes An Apology For His Outrageous Remarks
Ben Carson, ex-neurosurgeon, Republican, and wannabe presidential candidate had to make an apology recently after an interview with CNN where he remarked that homosexuality was definitely a choice and not biological.
He then used prison as an example, "A lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight, and when they come out, they’re gay. So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question."
After people reacted badly to what he said (well duh), he then took to Facebook to make a grovelling apology, as he no doubt saw his presidential ambitions dwindling with every enraged tweet.
Here's some of the tweets:
You know Ben, for all the ways prison can change a man, "turning gay" would probably be the most helpful to society. #BenCarson
It's baffling how someone like Dr. Ben Carson, can be so brilliant in medicine, yet so stupid when it comes to politics. #bencarson #tcot
Someday #BenCarson will go to prison where he will learn once and for all that his "homosexuality is a choice" theory was wrong.
And here's his long-winded apology. Although, it's probably too late. Next time, just don't make stupid statements.
