The Blood Test Scene - 'Frozen' Meets 'The Thing' In This Gruesome Claymation Film Parody
Remember that gruesome blood test scene in Frozen when the characters are tied up and tested to see if one of them is a murderous, shape-shifting parasitic alien? No? That's because it doesn't exist.
Or, should I say, didn't exist—but it does now.
Fortunately for us there's no singing (that would be just too scary to handle), but there is some superb vision going on here by merging two film genres, at opposite ends of the movie poles together to recreate some superb movie magic, full of tension, fear and some popular Disney characters.
And that's thanks to British animator and maker of independent claymation horrors Lee Hardcastle.
His work is always full of gruesome OTT violence and dark humor and he's brought that to bear in his remake—with the cast of Frozen—of the tense blood test scene from John Carpenter's The Thing.
The result is hilarious and very bloody as Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven are subjected to the brutal horrors of a claymation extraterrestrial lifeform ripping them apart from the inside. A definite must watch.
