Giant Bug! Next Time You Have An Itch In Your Ear Start Praying That This Is Not The Reason
No one can deny that a giant bug is creepy. Fact. I can pretty much guarantee that if you actually make it to the end of this video you will probably spend the rest of your life wearing earplugs and headphones when you sleep, come to think of it, when you are awake as well. This is a Friday night X-rated insect horror story that unfortunately is 100% real and could happen to everybody, at any time, in any place. Forget Ebola.
According to sources on Youtube (if it's on the internet it has to be legit, right?), "The man, who remains unidentified, but is believed to be from India, arrived at the doctor's complaining that his ear was itchy - only to discover that a three-inch insect (an Indian house cricket) burying itself in his ear canal was the source of his discomfort. A doctor then had to carefully remove the twitching creepy-crawly, using tiny tweezers to pinch the bug and pull it out of the ear. Experts have suggested the cricket crawled in the ear in search of shelter during daylight hours."
The footage, thought to have been filmed by doctors at the South Zone ENT Research Centre in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, India, starts with a camera that looks inside the patient's ear and shows the insect's legs twitching in the air.
Apparently they like warm countries (that does it, i'm moving to Alaska) and hide during the day. It is likely this cricket crawled into the man's ear while he was sleeping and was just hiding there until night came around.
These critters are known to be an invasive species, appearing all over the globe. Yep, coming to a house near you, your house, soon. Be afraid people. Be very afraid.
