'The Hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug' Gets A Hilarious Honest Trailer
If any film deserves the snarky treatment from the Honest Trailers guys then The Hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug is it. The many flaws in the movie are picked over by this mock trailer, taking aim at its ridiculous running time and tedious familiarity.
Honest Trailers refer to the second instalment of Peter Jackson's trilogy—the third and final part The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is out this week—as "the bloated second chapter in Peter Jackson's mercilessly long Hobbit trilogy."
And it's hard not to agree with them as they say some hilarious, if cynical (but they're always cynical), lines like "A nearly three-hour movie with the plot of one-third of a children's novel." Nailed it.
