The 'Straight Outta Compton' Meme Generator Gets Released And The Internet Has Great Fun With It

Music biopic Straight Outta Compton, about the rise of seminal rappers NWA and the controversy that their first studio album, "Straight Outta Compton" created, with its brutally honest depiction of life in Southern Los Angeles, was released last weekend.

And by the box office receipts it generated, it looks as if it had a great opening weekend, earning about $40 million according to Variety, meaning it's heading straight to the to top of the box office.

As part of the promotional material, the marketing people behind the movie had to come up with an online gimmick to raise web awareness around the movie release, so they created a meme generator that enabled anyone to upload their own photo and create a "Straight Outta..." photo in the style of the iconic album cover.

But guys, this is the internet we're talking about. And they were never going to use something like this seriously.

And they didn't. They used it to create some crazy, funny, and downright childish versions.

And you'll be thankful that they did.
