The Internet Reacts To Rihanna's Met Gala Dress With Hilarious Egg-Based Memes

It was the dress that launched a thousand memes. Well, quite a few anyway. Rihanna turned up at the Met Gala in a flowing yellow dress, a dress that, yes, does look like an omelette. And a pizza. Not to say Rihanna didn't look great in it, because she did.

But, it was also a dress that also looked like a lot of things that weren't a dress. Like the aforementioned food and a whole lot of other things. It was a dress that took its designer, Guo Pei, two whole years to make.

Rihanna told Vogue, "I saw this beautiful beast on the internet, i was researching Chinese couture.... It's so well-made. It's handmade by one Chinese woman. It took two years to make this."

Two years. Two long years to make an omelette people. I know you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs but something is seriously scrambled here.

And in a matter of minutes the internet had turned that effort into a series of daft, eggy memes. Which is harsh but also hilarious.
