Kelly Osbourne FAIL! Tries Defending Latinos From Donald Trump, Ends Up Making Racist Comments
Oh dear. Some days just don't go your way and all your best intentions come straight back at you and slap you in the face. While trying to defend Latinos when she appeared on talkshow The View against the racist remarks said about them by Donald Trump, Kelly Osbourne has made what sounds like a racist comment herself.
"If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilet, Donald Trump?" Kelly Osbourne remarked, and probably immediately regretted, as her fellow guests and co-hosts, one of whom is Rosie Perez and Latino, took umbrage with her. And no doubt, anyone watching the show winced at what they heard. Oh dear indeed.
She tried to double back, saying she didn't mean it "like that" but the damage had been done. And in an age of twitter and immediate judgement and ridicule by the social media hordes, it was too late.
Even issuing a statement (but not an apology) on Facebook didn't seem to quell the anger.
"I want to start by saying I ALWAYS take responsibility for my actions." she said, "In this particular case I will take responsibility for my poor choice of words but I will not apologize for being a racist as I am NOT." ending with "By the way I clean my own fucking toilets."
Here's what Twitter thought of her comment and her subsequent racist statement.
