How About A Mouth-Shaped Coffee Lid That Will Kiss You Awake With Your Morning Cup Of Java
It goes without saying that most of us enjoy a cup of coffee (or ten) to kickstart our day and ready us for the morning's workload. You might even call yourself a coffee lover. Well, a new coffee lid by South Korean designer Jang WooSeok takes coffee-loving a step further, because the lid is shaped like a human mouth.
Meaning taking a sip of the black stuff would also mean planting a kiss on a plastic lid. Effectively you'd be making out with your coffee cup, so if you have a real fetish for take-out coffee containers, then this is the lid for you! But if we are honest, if you are a real coffee-lover then this is the next logical step.
The idea is just at the concept/prototype stage at the moment, so don't expect your local Starbucks to be adopting these lids any time soon.
WooSeok explains the concept on his Behance page:
"Kiss when coffee"—This design is a fun but functional concept.
Different from the other coffee lids which have a usual hole to put a straw or to drink directly, Take 'Kiss' Out looks like a human face. Therefore, a coffee drinker experiences a visually funny and emotionally different coffee-drinking when drinking.
They sure will. And it also raises the idea of having all different types of custom coffee lids. Especially if you have, or had access to, a 3D printer and 3D scanner. You could have, um, butt lids for your enemies, or have the face or your significant other if you wanted to get all soppy.
Or you could take it a step further, get really creepy and have your celebrity crush's face on there (the black lids already look at bit "Han Solo in carbonite.").
