After Losing His Right Foot And Left Leg This Amazing Two Year Old Boy Learned To Walk Again
OK, it's time for a tearjerker and if this video doesn't make you well up with emotion you must be a robot. Six months ago two year old Kayden Kinckle from Englewood, New Jersey had to have his right foot and left leg amputated.
The surgery was the result of problems Kayden suffered when he was born. Not only did he have omphalocele, an abdominal wall defect, the umbilical cord was wrapped around his feet and legs in the womb and caused some deformity. Doctors originally said he might not make it, but the little guy's resilience and courage proved them wrong.
The surgery meant that Kayden could, with the help of prosthetics and a walker, start to walk and run and play just like all the other kids his age. And on the 4th July last year Kayden took his first steps with his walker all by himself.
Kayden's mom Nikki captured the incredible moment on video—"I got it! I got it!"—and you can watch the joyous occasion and Kayden's amazing determination above.
