Macklemore’s 'Thrift Shop' Music Video Gets A Hilarious Remix Using High Quality GIFs

The community of Reddit's HQGStudios sub (High Quality GIFs) have been very busy recently and have taken it upon themselves to give Macklemore's "Thrift Shop" a superb reworking, with extra absurdity and silliness.

The group, around 21 GIF makers and artists from Reddit and Imgur, previously spent many collective hours recreating Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" with added ridiculousness—and have now all turned their talents to Macklemore. You'll be grateful that they did. It a wonderful work of art. Gif art.

Because it means that the hit song's video gets all kinds of goofy references thrown in, from Back to the Future's Doc Brown and the DeLorean to the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan.

There's also Sesame Street's Bert, Jesse from Breaking Bad , viral stars, the poop emoji, South Park, Seinfeld's Kramer, electronic kids' toys from the 1970s, and plenty more. So keep your eyes peeled.

The result is nothing short of spectacular, a fine update of the hit song's video that, if we're totally honest, is a vast improvement on the original.
