'The Punisher' Netflix Trailer Has Arrived And It's Every Bit As Violent As You'd Expect
After some teasing 'The Punisher' Netflix trailer is finally here, and it doesn't shy away from the violence or blood. Frank Castle (aka The Punisher) first appeared back in Daredevil season 2, and then when The Defenders started streaming it came with a short teaser for the show, but now the full one is here, which stars Jon Bernthal as the Marvel antihero in Netflix's web television series created for by Steve Lightfoot. And boy is it violent.
The Punisher trailer begins with Frank Castle cuddling up to his family, only for them to suddenly be brutally taken from him as his wife get's shot in the head. That sets the tone really, and from there we see Frank Castle getting suited and booted, putting on his black clothes and spray painting the iconic white skull on his vest.
Fuelled by vengeance The Punisher Netflix show sees Castle taking a vey violent, shoot first ask questions later (if at all), approach to dealing with New York City's criminals. But along with being tough on the underworld, the series also follows him uncovering a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld leading to his family's death, and forced him into hiding after what happened in Daredevil season 2.
When Will 'The Punisher' Netflix Series Premiere?

Well, secrecy, hiding, hacking, and conspiracies all seem to be a part of The Punisher Netflix series, as Bernthal is being hunted by the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI, while finding an ally in Microchip (played by Ebon Moss-Bachrach)—the latter a character from the comics. "You and me, we want the same thing. Work with me.” Microchip says at one point." To which Castle responds, “One condition. I want them all dead.” And Micro replies, “Yeah, I can live with that.”
Along with Bernthal and Moss-Bachrach, Deborah Ann Woll will feature as Karen Page, while Ben Barnes plays Russo (who will become super villain Jigsaw, maybe not in this series, but possibly in Daredevil season 3?). And Paul Schulze plays Rawlins.
The Punisher Netflix series looks to be taking a different direction to the previous Marvel shows on the streaming service. One that looks like it's going to be full of explosions, plenty of pained screams, plenty of killing, and John Wick-style action. All of which are featured in the trailer, which is set to the headbanging sounds of Metallica.
