'Millennials of New York'—A Parody Of Generation Y That Hilariously Skewers 'Humans of New York'
Everyone loves the blog Humans of New York, which posts photos of New Yorkers along with a quote giving insight into their lives. Even Hilary Clinton can't resist it.
It shows the types of people that live in a city, the kind of people that you see every day but you know nothing about. But, as much as that is touching and celebrates all the best of humanity, a parody account has sprung that bypasses all that for the thrill of cheap laughs.
And there are laughs aplenty to be had.
Called Millennials of New York, it's the brainchild of humour writers Alec MacDonald and Connor Toole of Elite Daily and totally nails Generation Y's sense of entitlement alongside their ridiculous fashion and social trends.
It posts pictures of twenty-something Millennials, guys with man buns and girls in Nirvana t-shirts, then writes a pretentious fake quote to go alongside it.
As such it gives an insight into the minds of Generation Y that you won't get anywhere else.
These are their struggles.
