Movie Posters With Just One Letter Changed In The Title Make For Some Hilarious 'What-Ifs'
Movie posters are an essential part of getting you interested in wanting to go watch the film it is advertising, over time a lot of posters have become very iconic, sticking in your brain, mainly due to the visual references.
But how much attention do you pay to the actual wording in a movie poster?
Changing just one letter of a movie title will either result in utter gibberish or if you choose your letter with a bit more care, it can make for some silly made up movie names.
That was what website DesignCrowd tasked its community of designers with, asking them to not only change one letter of a movie to turn it into something else entirely. But also design the movie poster to accompany it.
Not design from scratch though, instead much like they changed the movie title they had to adapt the film's poster too. And because we are so familiar with some of these classic posters it really adds to the overall effect.
The results speak for themselves. Ghostbusters becomes Ghostbuskers, Steve Carrell's 40-year-old virgin more than doubles in age, while Superman gets a Google Maps makeover.
Some are absurd (King Pong, The Men Who Stare At Boats), some are just funny (Jurassic Lark, The Podfather), while some I really want to watch (It's a Wonderful Lime, Macdeath).
And let be honest, what pet lover couldn't resist watching the furry killer from the deep, 'Paws'.
