New Batman Roller Coaster With Rotating Seats And 90 Degree Drops Looks Absolutely Terrifying
If you're the sort of person who freezes with fear when in the vicinity of a roller coaster, this new Batman ride opening at the weekend at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio will terrify you.
The ride is billed as "4D free fly coaster" which basically means it has rotating seats which spin you around so you get to experience the thrill/horror of being hurled through the air backwards.
The terrifying roller coaster track features a steep 120ft climb before passengers are hurled through the air and are subject to a series of spinning-stomach-churning twists and turns.
I'm sure if you are a kid you're going to love it, but for grown-ups it will be a test of endurance and guts - more what you have recently put into your guts (and whether it'll stay there) than a dose of courage.
If that sounds like the perfect way to spend your weekend, then put on your best puke-proof cloak and head to San Antonio. Describing the ride, the park says:
Magnetic fins cause you to flip as you fly over the top of a 12-story hill and two beyond vertical drops. Then you’ll take flight over a steel track which delivers six full inversions. You’ll descend down two beyond-90-degree raven drops, incorporating the stomach-shaking sensation of true freefall right in the middle of the ride!
