Polish Tattoo Artist Inez's Incredible Sketch-Like Tattoos Celebrate The Aesthetic Of Imperfection
To look upon Polish tattooist Inez Janiak's tattoos many people might see rough lines, unfinished experiments, and incomplete sketches. And that's exactly the idea as Janiak's work celebrates this aesthetic—and her 70,000 Instagram followers no doubt agree.
Janiak uses mostly black lines and she crafts her images in such a way that they look like charcoal drawings that have been torn from a sketch pad and placed on someone's arm (or body or leg).
The effect of these varying lines is one which gives the images a bold energy, like they're about to come to life or suddenly become animated.
The subjects of the visuals range from birds to manic clowns, skulls, street scenes, all looking like they could grace the cover of a Megadeth album. You even feel like they would work really well in the pages of a comic.
But for now, Janiak's work remains on the human form. You can check out some of her work below.
