The 'Star Wars: Episode VII' Title Has Been Revealed, But The Internet's Come Up With Some Alternatives
The official thats-it-no-changing title of the new Star Wars film was unveiled on Thursday and Lucasfilm have gone with... The Force Awakens? Yeah, kind of underwhelming but there you go. The announcement came along with the news that the film has finished principal photography, which means they finished filming and are now moving onto the CGI and post-production stuff.
The movie's due for release December 18 2015 but details of the actual plot have been scarce. All Lucasfilm have said is that it'll be set 30 years after Return of the Jedi and has a bunch of new characters who will be appearing along with some old favs: Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewie, C-3PO and R2-D2.
