'Black Rage' - Take Some Time Out Of Your Day & Watch This Classic Scene From 'Chasing Amy'
Time for a show of hands, If you’ve never seen Kevin Smith’s movie “Chasing Amy” then put your hands in the air. Lets see you. How could you NOT have watched this film? Shame on you and all your descendants.
Smith announced recently that he'll be making a sequel to his 1995 hit Mallrats, which starred Jason Lee as Brodie and Jeremy London as T.S.
They played a couple of teens hanging out at the mall, getting dating advice from Stan Lee and encountering the Easter-bunny-beating Jay and Silent Bob.
Smith posted the following pic to his Instagram page and the movie is slated for release in 2016.
We goin' back to the MALL, ya'll!@therealstanlee, @jaymewes, @michael_rooker & me making a number 2. Talking about in this photo, not the movie. #MR2
He also recently confirmed that he'll be releasing Clerks III, also due for release next year. The only film from the original 'Jersey Trilogy' to not get any sequels is Chasing Amy. There was talk of a sequel a few years back, but nothing surfaced.
It's unfortunate, but we'll always have the 'black rage' scene from it, where Dwight Ewell's Hooper X lambasts the comics and sci-fi fantasy industry for being racist and not having enough black strong role models. In the process taking down the "holy trinity" of Star Wars for being part of the racist white patriarchy.
It's hilarious and deserves a few moments of your time.
