By now everyone, including your octogenarian gran who has no idea who George Lucas is, has seen the new trailer (above) for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. On Friday it exploded across the internet like an X-wing starfighter getting too close to the Death Star trenches, after which it was sieved through and analysed within an inch of its life.

The general consensus was that it was all looking good, it referenced the original trilogy just enough to bring a welcome sense of familiarity but also pointed to new developments (crucifix-shaped lightsabers!). And it looks like J.J. Abrams has found a happy medium of CGI combined the physicality of real-world models in the FX department.

All this was gleaned from just 88 seconds of footage. Along with the OTT analysis it also bred a whole galaxy's worth of parody videos, everything from Lego stop-motion versions to Nic Cage was thrown up by the internet. So we've rounded up the best and placed them below for your convenience.
