The Trailer For The New Mortal Kombat Game Has Arrived—And It Looks Brutal
Good news for those of us who like their gaming experiences soundtracked with the sounds of bones being crunched and limbs being snapped, because Warner Bros. have officially confirmed that Mortal Kombat X is happening.
Details are pretty scarce apart from the trailer, below, which has already amassed over 2 million views in 24 hours—which should tell you how stoked people are for a new instalment of this classic beat 'em up.
"Fueled by next-gen technology, Mortal Kombat X combines unparalleled, cinematic presentation with dynamic gameplay to create an unprecedented Kombat experience." goes the blurb to the vid, which features Scorpion and Sub-Zero beating the living crap out of each other in a dark forest.
It looks like the 2011 reboot's x-ray moves will also be a feature of the game, as the trailer shows rib cages being torn open and knee joints being separated in slow-mo for added grisliness.
The game will be released in 2015 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC—and it will be previewed at the upcoming E3 show which starts next week.
