'It's A Dog's Life' -- 450 Canines Playing Together With Pure Joy At A Rescue Center In Serbia
There's a dog sanctuary in Serbia and it looks like pure paradise for rescue dogs, because rather than having them caged up, they're allowed to run free and play until their hearts are content—which is exactly what they do.
The shelter is run by Sasa Pejčić and is in Sin in Serbia and this video shows 450 of the dogs—who have all been neutered and sprayed after being rescued from the streets and broken homes—having a ball running around in the mud and mobbing Sasa.
"Anyone who has ever heard whispers of this sanctuary in Serbia knows what a magical place it is." runs the YouTube page. "This amazing haven is home to 450 rescued dogs. But this is no ordinary rescue center. What's most incredible is not just the number of dogs who live here, but the WAY they live.
Rather than being warehoused in cages and kennels, the dogs here PLAY all day long. They experience joy, good food and human kindness - often for the very first time."
Pejčić founded the sanctuary in 2008 and started with only a few dogs, before people began bringing stray dogs to the place. Now he has hundreds of them. It's run entirely on donations, doesn't receive any government grants, and it takes quite a lot of money to feed a pack of this size.
According to the video US based company Harmony Fund is helping maintain the sanctuary through donations from animal lovers. You can help by donating to the rescue center here.
