A few days ago the news came through that Spidey will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sony Pictures have held the rights to the Spider-Man franchise since 1999, but now they've agreed to team up with Marvel Studios to create a new, revamped, recast Spider-Man.

Before he stars in his own new movie (again), due in 2017, he's most likely to have a cameo in Captain America: Civil War. And the collaboration paves the way for many more crossovers with other characters from the Marvel Universe. And means they can continue to milk that cash cow.
